The number of coils in a mattress and the thicknbess of the wires varies from manufacturer to manufacturer and is based on a full-size mattress (i.e. twin mattress have fewer coils, kings have more); the coil count may not necessarily as important as the construction when it comes to comfort, but it is a main part in determining the needed support for your body.
